Christmas was so much fun yesterday. The big winner was the tissue paper, but other than that, Liliana loved her new toys! She got to stay in her Christmas pajamas for the first part of the day and she went for a walk later in the day with Joe :)
Merry Christmas Eve and Merry Christmas! Today was pretty uneventful, except I did take out the Christmas lights and put the presents out.
We hope you have a wonderful holiday and Merry Christmas!
We started adding interesting items to touch and look at to the lower parts of our walls. The first wall has a few (awesome) plastic mirrors, pretty blue upholstery fabric and a felt peacock. As you can tell, she can pull on those feathers (they're attached to cloth underneath) and then also feel the body of the bird.
Next up, funky fabrics, tassels, cork and sandpaper. Those are all on their way, so when they get here, I can put them up for her viewing and touching pleasure :)
It's snowing out today so I took Liliana outside on our patio.
Liliana is making snow angels (not really) and eating snow. You can tell her tongue is taste-testing what's falling from the sky!
Later on, she rolls over and tastes it more fully. She's not in love with eating snow, but she seems content to watch it - as long as it doesn't fall on her face!
Liliana's arm muscles and leg muscles are getting so strong! She's pulling herself up on the little coffee tables we have in the living room. Now she thinks everything is hers!
She's still working on how to get back down. Sometimes she lets go and just falls and sometimes she does lower herself. Either way, when she gets back down, she's usually not happy about it (even if she didn't just plop down).
In another update, this week's swim class went very well. Liliana's swim instructor is becoming more of a known person to her, so she is more comfortable with him being near her. She also held onto the wall of the pool all by herself this weekend with no one supporting her!
