Happy Thanksgiving from Jersey City where the Bhimani-Bueches are doing arts and crafts and watching the Lions game!
When Liliana is finished eating, she does a Superman pose. Tonight she had a few other funny faces for us too.
Joe did the honors of feeding her the last part of dinner. I'm sure we both do this, but I happened to get Joe in a picture doing it. He opens his mouth just as he's putting the spoon into Liliana's mouth, whether she opens her mouth or not. It's pretty cute to watch.
Yesterday, we had a great time with Rozi, Andrew, Nathan and Anna. We hung out at home, decorated some cookies, played the Wii and headed over to the diner by us for some lunch.
Today, we're relaxing since it's pretty gross out. Lots of rain and wind. I made a quick run to the grocery store but otherwise, we're staying inside. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get out for a walk.
Meanwhile, happy 8 months, Liliana! It has been so much fun :)
She slips a little on the wood floors but we'll have yoga mats down soon enough (the floors can be cold too). She is getting better every day!
And Louie is scared. She just started crawling around yesterday. We'll try to get some video of it later today, after swimming.
Liliana is SO close to being mobile for real. Every time Joe and I get Liliana out of her crib, she is up on all fours, rocking back and forth. She has been working on this part of crawling all day today too.
We also got our Michigan wolverine blanket today too. It's adorable!
Today was Liliana's first swimming lesson. The class was about 12 kids and their parents ranging from 7 months (Liliana was the youngest) up to around 2ish years old. Our teacher, Sam, teaches all the classes for kids between the ages 6 months and 36 months.
We could not have lucked out with a better teacher. He was really good with the kids and a lot of the class was teaching water safety - how to get in the pool, out of the pool, holding the kids in different positions to be safe and teaching them that the wall was safe. We did some kicking (on her front and back) and ended class with the hokey pokey!
He does use kids in the class to show everyone else how to do something. So, we know Liliana is not a fan of strangers holding her. He tried with her a couple of times and while she was fine in the water, she did not like being held by someone else...so something to work on!
