Liliana is 7 months old today and working on a couple new skills. She's added new consonants and sounds which she continue to work on, but Bababababa is still her favorite.
She yelled at Joe the other day. He was holding her on the couch and watching something on TV. She decided he wasn't paying enough attention to her, so she leaned in close to his face and made a very loud noise at him. This got the desired reaction and Joe started paying more attention to her.
She has started to rock back and forth on her hands and knees, but only in her crib. When she's on the floor on her playmat, she still pivots on her tummy and rolls around to get places. If she can pull herself somewhere, she will. She can sit up by herself but she can't get to sitting on her own...but she keeps trying!
We took a bath together tonight and got her in her swimsuit, so we knew how easy (or hard) it would be and to see what she would do with a little more water around her. She loved it and played with her bath toys for over 10 minutes!
We took some pictures out back today with the little pumpkin and the big pumpkin :) More to follow when we actually carve the big pumpkin! Liliana loved the flowers and she was pretty grabby with those yellow mums. She's learning to sit-up right now and she did pretty well sitting on our slanted patio!
It's been a bit of a challenge protecting the pumpkins and garden from the squirrels (and the wonderful neighbors have a squirrel feeder out, seriously, who feeds the squirrels?!). Yesterday, I finally poured an entire bottle of hot sauce all around our patio, but not before the squirrels stole one whole mini-pumpkin and ate through another two of them!
