June and July have been pretty low-key for us. Lily has started her summer classes. She continued Jazz in June and we started a gardening class at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens in July. She still has regular playdates and field trips around the city. Today, we headed over to the Prospect Park Zoo. We saw the Sea Lion show, fed the goats, saw new Hornbills, and watched the cows poop. It was a pretty exciting trip!
Liliana had her first dentist trip this past week and she had a blast. They had a TV on the ceiling (smart!), so we watched our favorite red furry monster for 20 minutes while they brushed her teeth with strawberry toothpaste and flossed! She got to pick toys from the bins and brush a toy alligator's chompers. What's not to love about the dentist?!
Another milestone she's working on is losing those diapers! We started a few weeks and it's mostly been smooth sailing. She mostly tells us when she has to go before she does but does have an occasional accident - all in the life of being a 2 year old!
She's super excited to see both sets of grandparents in August and asks about it every time we see a plane fly overhead. Sometimes that's 5 times a day!
